Capital Turnover Annual sales divided by paid up equity. Studied over a period, it shows the extent to which a company can grow without additional capital investment. Annual sales, in which a high profit margin is a component, often shows a low capital turnover.
Capitalization of Reserves The accumulated undistributed profits of a company which are put aside as reserves (except capital revaluation reserve and asset revaluation reserve) can be converted into share capital by issuing bonus shares. Capitalization of reserves is done according to certain government guidelines, but remains the discretion of the company.
