Inventory Turnover Annual sales divided by the average cost of inventory given the ratio of inventory turnover. The higher the ratio, the more prosperous the company. A low turnover ratio would indicate unsold stock and a weak sales strategy.
The term also means the net security position, long or short, that a dealer or an investor has in a share. See POSITION. |
