Pathfinder Prospectus An exploratory prospectus for a new company, which seeks to find out if the market will subscribe to the issue of shares. It is less detailed than the actual prospectus which must satisfy conditions of full disclosure. Financial and pricing details may be omitted from the pathfinder (known in the USA as red herring).
