Selling Climax Term use in TECHNICAL ANALYSIS to identify a sudden downward trend in share prices, marked by an increase in the volume of trading and GAPS in the fall of prices. A selling climax is considered to be a nervous overreaction and is supposed to predict a rise in the share’s value, at least up to the point when gaps start appearing.
