Share Transfer Stamps Specially issued stamps which have to be affixed at the back of the share transfer forms by the transferee. The value of the stamps is calculated at the rate of ½% of the latest market price of the total number of shares to be transferred. The government, in its wisdom, has made these a scarce commodity, as often the sales counters have little to sell.
