Step Discount Bond An instrument devised by the IDBI which has a face value of Rs 10,250, issued at Rs 5,000, redeemed in five equal installments of Rs 2,050, a month after the end of the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh years. Except that the name is innovative, it’s much the same as a term discount bond.
