Voting Shares Ordinary Shares of a company entitling the holder to vote at the annual general meeting of the company and extraordinary meetings. At present (1997) all ordinary share are voting shares, although from time to time the introduction of non – voting shares with a marginally higher dividend is proposed. Non – voting shares earn a little more dividend, but are less liquid.
