Widow and Orphan Stock Shares which pay high dividends and are very safe. The have a very low volatility, and are little exposed to STYSTEMATIC RISK. At one time public utilities used to offer such shares. But now, except for a few mutual funds, notably The Unit Trust of India, widows and orphans do no seem to have much choice left.
