Chairman of the Board

Among the board of directors, the chairman of the board is the member who holds the most important position and has maximum powers to lead the company’s executives and the officers. His main role is to make sure that the firm is fulfilling its duties and obligations to its shareholders. As he is the highest ranked officer in the board, he makes sure that the relationship between the board members and the upper management is well maintained. The chair of the board is elected by a voting process among the board members. The person who wins with the majority of votes is entitled to the chair. The chairman is also responsible for presiding over the board meetings. As he has a major influence upon the board members and the management and acts as a link between them, he holds the most important position in the organization.
